Mission The mission of the RIPPLE institute inc. is to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technological, engineering and mathematical fields of study.
Objective The objective of the RIPPLE institute inc. is to provide support and educational outreach opportunity to aid students matriculation through the STEM pipeline increasing the available talent for the scientific workforce in the U.S.
Vision RIPPLE institute inc. (RII) will helping to maintain the U.S. as a dominant force in science, technology and education. This will ensure that the flow of scientific talent does not bypass the country’s shores, especially in the face of significant competition from other countries for the talent involved. RII will demonstrate a stout commitment to openness by developing streamlined and effective processes.
Goals & Objectives The primary goal is to establish the RII as a comprehensive program with a record of improving the academic achievement of students from low-income backgrounds while maintaining cost effective operations. To accomplish this goal, the RII will focus on a carefully selected set of high impact interventions aimed at producing significant results in a cost effective manner. Furthermore, the RII will leverage the experience of its highly skilled management team to develop a set of components that will enable it to achieve systemic improvements in academic achievement.
The effects of the RII will go beyond individual student achievement, going deep into the community. The goal is to help build communities with common objectives for change, growth, and development. To accomplish this goal, in each community, in each neighborhood, and in each school, the RII will work to bring together students, teachers, business leaders, and parents to come together with a common goal for their community.
The RII will establish itself as a leader in creative, effective applications of learning solutions to meet the challenges faced by American high school students. To accomplish this goal, the RII will team up students who share similar abilities, interests, commitments, and talents but that come from different socio-economic backgrounds. The result, a stimulating environment designed to encourage students to learn responsibility, self-motivation, community participation, and respect for others.
Below is a look at additional key goals and objectives that have been established by the RII: · Expand the minds of students by exposing them to a wide array of academic, artistic, athletic, and social opportunities, · Provide students with the academic skills necessary for success in higher education, · Help students to overcome class, social and cultural barriers to higher education, · Encourage and guide the academic and social development of students, · Assist students to discover and strive toward fulfilling their potential, · Introduce students to careers in math, science, engineering and technical trades, · Encourage students to become sensitive toward diversity in people, value systems and lifestyles, · Provide an opportunity for students to become familiar with a college campus, thereby encouraging students to pursue a college degree or certificate, and · Foster self-confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline and a sense of responsibility in each student in a positive fun safe environment. · Enhance the students’ understanding of future opportunities by urging them to dedicate themselves to graduation, not gangs, and to control anger and emotions that threaten to derail their dreams.
